ABOUT "LIFE IN WAITING"
In July 2008, ROMAH Foundation, Inc. launched our first project entitled, “Life in Waiting”, benefitting the mission for the “Servants of the Divine Mercy Community”, in the rural areas of Philippines.
“Life In Waiting” was developed as the voice of awareness for the underprivileged children, women, families and their society suffering from malnutrition, poverty, and educational inadequacy due to lack of financial resources, support services, and economic instability.
“Life In Waiting” was also established to deter any further physical, social, spiritual, economic endangerment to the Indigenous People.
“Life In Waiting” was also designed to provide preventative measures to prevent agricultural and environmental deterioration due to constant natural disasters (floods and typhoons).

HISTORY OF THE SERVANTS OF THE DIVINE MERCY
In June of 1985, a group of 42 young members in the Philippines dedicated their lives as they envisioned an establishment for the restoration and the development of the society through a variety of community outreach. The establishment grew and the “Servants of the Divine Mercy Community” (SDMC) was formed. They serviced arms, which facilitated the children, young professionals, family life, and aided the Indigenous People.
A few years later, the Servants of the Divine Mercy Community (SDMC) received five hectares of donated land from a generous benefactor. They used the land for agricultural development and also raised livestock to economically help the local farmers, families, and their communities.
Overtime, the land began to change due to the erratic climate change and constant natural disaster such as monsoon rains, typhoons, and floods. It devastated the smallest resources that the communities have long toiled to build. The intensity of the storm ransacked the limited livelihood that these people depend upon and left them with inadequate resources to support themselves. The calamities and lack of support services buried each family in deeper economic distress. Mostly, the children suffered and are often forced out of school to work in the field to add a living for the family.
